DESCRIPTION:Step into the jungle with Little Makers. \nInspired by the magical paintings of Henri Rousseau\, children aged 7–12 will create their own jungle artwork filled with towering leaves\, curious creatures\, hidden animals and imaginary landscapes. \nRousseau was famous for painting wild\, dreamlike jungles\, despite never actually visiting one. Instead\, he used his imagination to create worlds full of colour\, mystery and adventure — and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing at Little Makers. \nUsing paint\, collage and mixed materials\, children will create their own jungle scene\, exploring colour\, pattern\, texture and storytelling along the way. \nWill there be tigers lurking in the undergrowth?\nA brightly coloured bird perched high in the canopy?\nA creature nobody has ever seen before? \nThat’s entirely up to them. \nThere are no step-by-step instructions and no two artworks will look the same. DESCRIPTION:Little Makers – Teddy Bear’s Picnic! \nOur School Holiday sessions are a slightly slower\, more immersive version of our Little Makers weekly creative hours. \nThese workshops still leave plenty of room for kid inspired creativity\, but each one is built around a beautiful central idea — giving kids something to explore\, interpret\, and make their own. \nWe guide them through techniques and materials\, but there’s always space for their personality to shine through. \n—— \nPack your teddy and join us for the sweetest school holiday adventure at Lumina. \nAt Teddy Bears’ Picnic\, children aged 3–9 and their grown-ups will create a delightful spread of picnic treats for their favourite furry friend. \nUsing felt\, air-dry clay\, pompoms and a treasure trove of craft materials\, we’ll be making cupcakes\, sandwiches\, biscuits\, fruit\, cakes and all sorts of imaginative picnic food. The focus is on creating\, chatting\, laughing and spending time together. \nThis is a workshop designed for grown-ups to join in too. Pull up a chair\, get crafty alongside your little maker and help bring your teddy’s picnic to life. \nOnce our picnic food is complete\, we’ll gather our teddies for a very special teddy bears’ picnic and admire the delicious creations we’ve made. \nDon’t forget to bring your teddy bear along. Whether they’re brand new\, a treasured favourite or looking a little worse for wear after years of adventures\, they’ll be very welcome at Lumina. \nA creative morning of making\, imagination and teddy-sized fun for children aged 3–9 and their grown-ups.

SUMMARY:Kids Art Exhibition - Opening Night
DESCRIPTION:During the school holidays\, our Little Makers have been busy creating. \nPainting.\nBuilding.\nExperimenting.\nMaking glorious messes.\nAnd creating artwork they’re incredibly proud of. \nThis July\, we’re turning Lumina into a real art gallery and showcasing their work in our very first Little Makers Art Exhibition. \nThe exhibition will be open from 25 July – 5 August\, with a special Opening Night celebration on 25 July. \nWe’ll be rolling out the red carpet for our young artists\, with grown-ups welcomed with a glass of sparkling on arrival\, plus juice\, lemonade and snacks for everyone to enjoy while exploring the exhibition. \nRather than charging for tickets\, we’re inviting families to make a donation to “purchase” their child’s artwork to take home after the exhibition. Every dollar raised will be donated to a children’s charity\, helping creativity make a difference beyond our walls. \nIt’s a chance to celebrate imagination\, confidence\, creativity and the wonderful things children create when they’re given the freedom to make. \nWe can’t wait to fill Lumina with proud artists\, proud families and a whole lot of colourful creativity.  Please RSVP below!
