Little Makers – Jungle Animals – Rousseau inspired!

Step into the jungle with Little Makers.
Inspired by the magical paintings of Henri Rousseau, children aged 7–12 will create their own jungle artwork filled with towering leaves, curious creatures, hidden animals and imaginary landscapes.
Rousseau was famous for painting wild, dreamlike jungles, despite never actually visiting one. Instead, he used his imagination to create worlds full of colour, mystery and adventure — and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing at Little Makers.
Using paint, collage and mixed materials, children will create their own jungle scene, exploring colour, pattern, texture and storytelling along the way.
Will there be tigers lurking in the undergrowth?
A brightly coloured bird perched high in the canopy?
A creature nobody has ever seen before?
That’s entirely up to them.
There are no step-by-step instructions and no two artworks will look the same. Just plenty of inspiration, a table full of materials and the freedom to create something uniquely their own.
Finished artworks can be entered into our upcoming Little Makers Art Exhibition, where we’ll be transforming Lumina into a gallery celebrating the creativity and imagination of our young artists.
Perfect for curious, creative kids aged 7–12 who love animals, art and getting lost in imaginary worlds.
Book now and let their imagination run wild
