Little Makers is our creative art and craft class for kids aged 5–10 and their grown-ups in North Hobart. It’s a colourful, joy-filled session with tables overflowing with paints, clay, collage, textures and all sorts of crafty treasures. There are no step-by-step instructions or perfect end results — just plenty of inspiration, encouragement and freedom to see where their imaginations take them.
More than anything, Little Makers is about creating together. Grown-ups grab a seat, get their hands messy and make right alongside the kids. We believe creativity is more fun when it’s shared — and some of the best conversations, confidence-building moments and memories happen when parents and kids are busy making side by side.
Fairy Day at Lumina is a magical kids’ craft session in North Hobart — a little messy, very sparkly and full of imagination.
We spend the session creating a collection of fairy-inspired arts and crafts, from recycled fairy dolls and handmade wands to tiny potion bottles and a glowing mason jar fairy garden to take home.
There’s glitter, colour, making and plenty of room for little imaginations to wander. It’s a chance to get completely lost in creating — and step into a tiny fairy world for a little while.
In our Adopt a Pompom Pet kids’ craft workshop, kids create their very own woolly little friend from scratch. They’ll choose their colours, learn how to make a pompom, add a face and plenty of personality, then give their new pet a name.
Of course, no adoption is complete without the paperwork. They’ll finish their new best friend with a custom collar and official Lumina Adoption Certificate before taking them home.
Part pompom-making workshop, part imaginative play — and a whole lot of fluffy fun.
Lumina in the Dark is our winter UV art experience for kids in Hobart — because when the days get darker, we make them glow!
Electric pinks, neon greens, fluorescent blues and glowing yellows come alive under the UV lights, turning every brushstroke, splatter and scribble into something magical.
Kids can paint, make and experiment with UV paints and fluorescent art materials, surrounded by glow bracelets, glowing decorations and plenty of colour.
It’s messy, a little bit wild and one of our favourite ways to brighten up a cold Hobart winter — all the fun of getting creative, just with the lights turned down and the glow turned right up.

Each session focuses on one theme — fairy gardens, pompom pets, crazy monsters! There’s a little more guidance to learn a new craft, but still plenty of room to make it their own. They’ll leave with something special to take home — made all by themselves, alongside someone they love.
Little Makers Parties are our creative kids’ birthday parties in North Hobart — colourful, hands-on and designed to make celebrating ridiculously easy.
Hire Lumina as a blank canvas and bring your own party ideas to life, or add one of our kids’ craft activities and let them make, play and get a little messy (in the best way).
You’ll have the venue to yourselves, with tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware already here. Best of all, there’s no setting up your house beforehand and no party aftermath waiting for you at home.
You bring the birthday kid. We’ll provide the space, the fun and somewhere else to make the mess.
