Kids Studio: Paper Lantern Crafting

Our School Holiday sessions are a slightly slower, more immersive version of Kids Studio.

These longer workshops still leave plenty of room for creativity, but each one is built around a beautiful central idea — giving kids something to explore, interpret, and make their own.

We guide them through techniques and materials, but there’s always space for their personality to shine through.

A soft, glowing workshop filled with colour, texture, and movement.

Each child is given a paper lantern to decorate using layers of tissue, patterned papers, and gentle collage techniques — watching it come to life as the light begins to shine through.

We then create trailing fabric ribbons to add movement and personality, before placing a small light inside to complete the piece.

Something to hang.
Something to glow.
Something they’ve made from start to finish.
