Little Makers – The Wonderful World of Dots – Inspired by Yayoi Kusama

Get ready to see the world through a different lens.
This week at Little Makers, we’re taking inspiration from the colourful and imaginative work of Yayoi Kusama, an artist famous for transforming everyday objects and spaces with bold patterns and endless dots.
Children aged 7–12 will experiment with colour, pattern and repetition as they create their own vibrant artwork using paint and mixed materials.
What happens when you take a simple shape and cover it with colour?
What happens when one pattern becomes many?
What happens when you stop worrying about getting it “right” and simply start creating?
This workshop is all about curiosity, experimentation and having fun with art. There are no templates to follow and no two artworks will look the same.
Just plenty of materials, plenty of inspiration and the freedom to explore big ideas through colour and pattern.
Finished artworks can be entered into our upcoming Little Makers Art Exhibition, where we’ll be transforming Lumina into a gallery celebrating the creativity and imagination of our young artists.
Perfect for curious, creative kids aged 7–12 who love colour, making things and trying something a little different.
Book now and let’s get wonderfully dotty
